Comments: Very well built and good accuracy with the 6" barrel. The left-side slide release lever is a little difficult to operate, similar to the RWS C225. The competition open sights provide full adjustments for elevation and windage. The sights that normally come with this gun are fixed in the front and adjustable only for windage in the rear. I find the grip to be a little short for my hand making the balance seem barrel-heavy. In double-action mode, the trigger seems fairly heavy which affects accuracy.

Pyramyd Air Report on the Walther CP88.

Performance: Measurements were made on 7/13/06 at a temperature of 82 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using RWS R-10 pellets (7.0 gr). The highest velocity measured was 461 fps, the lowest was 406 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 418 fps). A Walther competition red-dot sight was mounted on the CP88 and a seven shot string grouped at just under 1/4". Click the thumbnail below to see a larger image.
