 Comments: This airsoft gas blow-back pistol is made in Japan by Tokyo Marui (TM). The basic gun is a replica of a Glock Model 17, but this unit has been customized with a Glock Model 34 slide and outer barrel from Boomarms. The Glock Model 34 is popular with IPSC competitors. The basic TM Glock 17 comes with a plastic slide, which requires the use of HFC-134a or G17 gas. Using a higher pressure gas will crack the plastic slide. One of the first upgrades usually performed on the TM Glock 17 is to replace the plastic slide with a metal slide in order to use higher pressure gases. Removing the slide provides access to the adjustable hop up control. The metal slide on this gun is a replica of a Shuey Custom slide for the Glock Model 34. Although this gun has the longer slide and outer barrel of a Model 34, it still has the 3.8" barrel of the Model 17. During testing, the TM Glock showed remarkably consistent shot-to-shot velocity and excellent accuracy. This gun was purchased from UNCompany (custom gun) in Hong Kong. It is solidly built, reliable, and makes a very nice Standard Division competition pistol.

Performance: Measurements were made on 11/25/07 at a temperature of 74 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using Marushin MaxiBBs (0.25 g), TM custom hi-flo valve, and propane gas. The highest velocity measured was 288 fps and the lowest was 284 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 286 fps, s = 1.0). A five shot string fired offhand using open sights, Marushin MaxiBBs (.25 g), and propane gas grouped at 0.42". Click  the thumbnails below to see larger images. Take Down: Removing the slide provides access to the adjustable hop up control.

Turning the hop-up control counter-clockwise increases the hop.
