This gun was manufactured
in Milan, Italy as the model Roger under the trademark
MMM-Mondial by the Modesto Molgora company. It was probably made
in the early 1960's when the transition from 8 gram to 12 gram
CO2
cartridges was taking place. It comes with an 8 gram CO2
adapter, an original 8 gram CO2
cylinder, a packet of BBs, and a piercing screw lever. It's
reasonably accurate for a BB gun with a smooth bore barrel. The
trigger pull is very heavy but smooth with a good break point. Article about repairing Mondial Roger pistol Performance: Measurements were made on 8/04/06 at a temperature of 88 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using Crosman Copperhead BBs (5.1 gr) with the power adjustment set to maximum. The highest velocity measured was 368 fps, the lowest was 334 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 351 fps). A five shot string fired with open sights grouped at 0.61". Loading BBs: BBs are loaded through the port on the right-hand side. The port has a sliding cover. The power adjustment screw hole can be seen to the rear of the trigger. Turning the screw clockwise increases power. |

Loading CO2: An adapter is provided for using 8g CO2 cylinders. The owner's manual only describes the use of 8 g cylinders, although it appears as though 12 g cylinders could be used (without the adapter). When loading CO2, the safety lever must be in the "shut" (down) position. The piercing cap is screwed in by hand until finger-tight, then the special lever is used to quickly tighten the cap and pierce the cylinder. |
