Comments:
This gun feels good in the hand and, after breaking it in, has a
crisp SA trigger. DA operation is a bit heavy. It’s too bad Gamo
did not figure out how to make a speed loading system for this
gun. All of the Gamo revolvers in the R-77 series use the same
mechanism and only differ in the length of the barrel and the
grip style.
Gamo discontinued all of their revolvers except the R-77 Combat
(4") in early 2006. The R-77 Combat (4") was discontinued
in late 2006 and then reintroduced in late 2007.
Performance:
Measurements were made on
8/01/06 at a temperature of 85 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired
from a bench rest at 15' using Crosman Premier Super Match
pellets (7.9 gr).
The highest velocity measured was 395 fps, the lowest was 333 fps
(average of the 10-shot string was 353 fps). A six shot string
