Comments: This gun feels good in the hand and, after breaking it in, has a crisp SA trigger. DA operation is a bit heavy. It’s too bad Gamo did not figure out how to make a speed loading system for this gun. All of the Gamo revolvers in the R-77 series use the same mechanism and only differ in the length of the barrel and the grip style. Gamo discontinued all of their revolvers except the R-77 Combat (4") in early 2006. The R-77 Combat (4") was discontinued in late 2006 and then reintroduced in late 2007.

Performance: Measurements were made on 8/01/06 at a temperature of 85 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using Crosman Premier Super Match pellets (7.9 gr). The highest velocity measured was 395 fps, the lowest was 333 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 353 fps). A six shot string fired with open sights grouped at 0.68".
