Comments:
This is one of the few semi-auto replica repeaters ever made to fire 22
caliber pellets and the only one ever made by Daisy. The
gun is advertised as Model 622X but is marked 622. The deep
circular magazine allows the use of pointed pellets. Even though
the gun is made entirely of plastic, it still has a good feel
and an excellent single/double-action trigger. It’s too bad that
this gun does not have an adjustable rear sight. This gun
was discontinued
in 2004 and is now getting pretty hard to find.
Performance:
Measurements were made on
7/30/06 at a temperature of 85 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot
string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using RWS
Meisterkugeln Pro pellets (14.0 gr).
The highest velocity measured was 376 fps, the lowest was 343 fps
(average of the 10-shot string was 359 fps). A six shot string
